Quiz Night 30 April 2019 at 7 pm

We'd like to invite you to our Quiz Night to help us raise funds for this year's project.   

  • Meet us at Theoc House in Barton Street (Library Room on the first floor) at 7 pm on Tuesday 30 April
  • We are accepting teams of up to 6 people at £2 pp
  • If you do not have a team, don't worry we'll hook you up with a team. 

If you are interested to hear what we have been doing over the last 12 months, you are most welcome to turn up at 6.30 pm for our AGM.  

Otherwise we look forward to seeing you at 7 pm for a fun evening with your In Bloom friends.

Live Music in Victoria Gardens

On the National Judging day, Wednesday 1 August, we've got live music in Victoria Gardens for you to enjoy from 11 am.  For the very first time we have The Roses Theatre community choir and members of the Cotswold Male Voice Choir providing uplifting music and song.

Judging Days for 2018

Not strictly "events" but we'll add the judging dates for this year on here.

Regional Heart in Bloom competition : 10 July
National In Bloom competition: 1 August 

Both judging days involve a 2 and half hour judging tour starting around 9 am.  Although its not possible for the general public to follow the judges on route, we do have public entertainment available at Victoria Gardens on both mornings.

Join us on 30 April for live BBC2 Broadcast

You may have heard BBC2 have launched a brand new gardening TV series being aired in 2018 following 15 volunteer groups around the UK as they prepare for the Britain in Bloom competition or just get together to improve the place in which they live.

Awards Evening 18 September

We are pleased to announce our annual Awards Evening is taking place on Monday 18 September 7 pm at the Watson Hall. This is when we thank volunteers, sponsors and funders and announce the results of the Mayor's Floral Competition when local businesses including shops, hairdressers, pubs, cafes, hotels as well as visitor attractions battle it it out for gold awards and 'best in category' placings.

The great British plant off!

The next two Sunday mornings are going to be really busy.  This is when we hope to start and complete the town centre planting.  We are starting on Sunday 4 June and aim to plant up The Crescent and Back of Avon.  The following Sunday (11 June) will be barrels and boats.
